On October 10, FHHS celebrated National Coming Out Day with a commemoration of being true to oneself with a variety of fun activities, promoting inclusivity and community.
The club running this event, the Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA), created this event to promote community values and to celebrate all of the diverse people at this school.

The club celebrated with a lobby event during periods 1-4 that included temporary tattoos, stickers and a whiteboard where students could share their experiences of support and what inclusivity means to them.
The club later celebrated periods 5-8 in the library, where students could make pins, and continue the fun activities they could in the lobby.
The advisor of the GSA, Ms. Ezratty, helped create and plan this event to provide a safe space for students to express who they are and also wanted to unite students of similar identities to form a shared community where everyone could express who they are.
